2021 Bullet Journal Setup
2021 Bullet Journal Setup video is at bottom as well as last year’s 2020 Bullet Journal Flip Through!
Can you believe we are already setting up our 2021 bullet journals?! Weather you are a beginner or not these bullet journal spread ideas will give you some ideas for your own bullet journal. Last year I started working on my next years journal MONTHS ahead of time but this year I planned and finished all my beginning spreads within a week. I am keeping things more simple these days and reduced the size of my journal. Last year I used a B5 archer and olive and this year I am using an A5 archer and olive. If you’d like your own archer and olive you can use code sunflowerchild10 as many times as you want for 10% off.

Common Spreads I don’t use
I want to point out a few common beginning spreads that I never use. A bullet journal is meant to be whatever you need it to be, whatever works for you! Don’t use spreads just because others are doing it, use what you know you’ll benefit from or enjoy making. I have no interest in using the following spreads:
A future Log - because I use google calendar for all my appointments, I use my bullet journal mainly for a creative outlet. I won’t have my bullet journal at all times so I rely on a digital calendar for important dates.
A Spacing Grid - I use this nifty spacing stencil instead (not affiliated) I just love it!
How I fit all my pages in one bullet journal.
Once I finished my beginning and end spreads I counted all the pages I had left and divided it by 12. I now know I have 10 pages that I can use each month. Many people use 2 bullet journals but I personally prefer to use one a year. It is easy to go crazy and have a TON of random pages and it is easy to fill up your bullet journal quickly. Last year I found that I had too many trackers (such as a nail polish tracker) and what not to keep up with and I did not use them often. I narrowed it down this year and am only adding what I know I’ll use.

I Stressed
It takes a lot of time to create a bullet journal. I started to feel over whelmed so I created stickers and pre-made bullet journal pages to help me and others out! I still get to create my own spreads but now I don’t spend countless hours, I just don’t have as much time as I used to, now I’m a mom! I have a ton of printables in my SHOP. I appreciate your support!
