Bullet Journal Setup | Easy Planning Ideas

Hey Sunflowers!

I’m so excited to share my bullet journal setup! As a new mom, I don’t have as much time as I used to, so I’ve been leaning on printable planner pages to simplify the process. This year, I switched to a binder-style journal using A5 paper, and I absolutely love the flexibility. Being able to add, remove, and rearrange pages makes planning so much easier.

The printables make my setup quick and stress-free while still leaving plenty of room for creativity. You’ll find my full flip-through at the end of this post, along with all the supplies I used.

Yearly Cover Page

I kept it very simple this year and added some simple doodles and I think it came out so cute! I’ve learned that repeating patterns is pleasing to the eye. I used to do too many different graphics and too many colors. You can grab the printable version for a quick setup.

Year at a Glance

This year at a glance printable makes it so easy to make this. The design elements were already there. I just added the numbers for each month and color and some washi tape.

Future Log

This future log printabe is where you put your events and tasks for the year. Then when you are in the current month for example January, then you transfer that information into your January calendar. It just makes things easier.

The Last Time I

This spread is so helpful. It’s different from a habit tracker because you put things here that you don’t do as often. Things like your last hair cut, giving your dog flea meds, changing your water filter, etc.

Printables

This is specific for me because I like to keep track of the printables I create for sunflower child designs. Even though I use mainly printables there are still a few spreads that are so specific to me that I need to create them myself. That is the beauty of bullet journaling you create a journal that is perfect for you!

Photo of the month

The trick for sizing the boxes is that I made a template on the app called pic collage. I use the 4x6 template that has 8 horizontal boxes. Then when I put the pictures in I turn them so they are vertical. It’s free to use the app for this! At the end of the year I’ll go back and add pictures to the template and print using amazon photos.

Goals Bullet Journal Page Idea

I like to keep the goals minimal otherwise I get overwhelmed.

Body Tracker

Last year I had a line chart but this year I opted for something more simple and it looks way better. I will simply add my weight each month in the correct box. The first “j” is for January. There is a printable version in the fitness section of the All-in-One Life Planner.

Baby Updates

Each month I’ll give an update on my little one. I’ll write her current favorites and dislikes and anything that she learned.

Birthdays by Zodiac

Birthdays by Zodiac is list of Birthdays that correspond to their Zodiac sign.

This is a fun spread. I love to rate different wines. The reviews page comes blank as well so you can rate anything you want! No more having to draw each pesky star. Just simply color the starts in the wine tracker.

• The binder was journal is from Ali Express but no longer available. I now use a mini 3 ring binder as you can fit way more pages than a 6 ring binder.

  Many printables from my shop

• A5 Paper The pages are bright white and thick so there is no ghosting which is really important to me!

• Clear Ruler 6 and 12 inch so I can see the dot grid through ruler

• Micron Fine Liners For doodles and thin lines. I used .003 and 01 those are my favorite especially since some boxes you need to write pretty small

I Stressed

It takes a lot of time to create a bullet journal. I started to feel over whelmed so I created stickers and pre-made bullet journal pages to help me and others out!
